Katherine (Kat) Castano is an Illustrator/Author living in the countryside in Snohomish, WA with her husband, daughter, and Brittany dog, Archie. Surrounded by llamas, cows, horses, and fruit trees, she’s constantly inspired by her surroundings. Her designs can be found on greeting cards, puzzles, children’s books, and more. She’s currently represented by Laura Hemsley and Emily Fernandez at The Bright Agency.

Her work is heavily influenced by nature, animals, travel, fairytales, whimsy, and femininity. She loves to incorporate storytelling through her work and tending to the smallest of details. She gives her work an organic hand drawn feeling by using mixed media such as wet acrylic, watercolor, gauche, pencil, and pen.

To be able to draw & design for her job has been a lifelong dream and she’s so grateful for all of the opportunities that have come her way.
